Need: 1.7 or 1.6 Good Bottom End - Denver

Well.. my dieing tranny Grenaded & chewed the crankshaft PP bolts out... The crank is likely unsalvageable. ..

I need a 1.7 KNOWN GOOD Bottom End (prefered), I could live with a 1.6l.  I have a very good head ready to go on it. Around the Denver area

You could just go get a crank from the junkyard and roll on... you might need to get new bearings though.  The job is really not a hard one, just make sure you TRIPLE check the torque on your rod cap nuts, or you will end up doing what I did on my 16V.... I have pics of the destruction if you need to see them.

I have a lead on a complete running 1.7 from one of Eric's (VWC) friends in Thornton.  We're thinking of having an Engine swap party in NorthGlenn.

A Crank was a last resort just because of the possibility of needing bearings and such...  But if this engine is a "good runner" as its supposed to be, a good engine over my 250k+ engine... bah, I'll take the better engine LOL
