Official Snow Performance Group Buy

The time is now my friends.  The time is now to start committing to buying a Boost Cooler kit for your performance gas or diesel vehicle.  Oh yes, the time is now...

So anyways, I'm going to be taking order from now until Tuesday, February 6.  If you're going to get in on the group buy shoot me a pm with the following information:

- full name
- email address
- year, make, & model of vehicle
- max boost
- approximate hp level
- part number for the kit you want

Once I have that information I will start your order.  I will then shoot you a pm asking you to call me.  When you call I will need your credit card information.  This will help eliminate the "I want in... oh wait I want out now" associated with group buys.

I WILL NOT RUN ANYBODY'S CREDIT CARD UNTIL WE HAVE AT LEAST 10 BUYERS.  We need 10 committed and confirmed buyers before I can go through with the group buy.  Once we have ten buyers I will run the credit cards and complete all orders.

I am more than happy to bring all the kits down to a gtg but we can ship kits if needed.

If you have any questions, shoot me a pm.  Again, the group buy discount is 15%.  I encourage you to check out our just-launched updated website --> www.snowperfor mance.net

I will update the list of buyers as we get them.

Thanks,

Nate

I'm still in for one, I'll pm you later this week. Did you have a chance to read the message about the truck? I'm still considering that one also, but need those questions addressed before figuring out which stage to consider.

EDIT: Sorry, I just noticed you had already replied to the diesel questions. Thanks. I will get you all the info later this week.

Nate, I have a friend in my unit with a pretty pimped out Mini. I was telling him about you guys, and we went to th website, but there was nothing listed for Mini. Do you guys have anything for him (prolly stage 2) or will there be anything soon? If you do, can he have my slot in the group buy?

Oh, I forgot the "PM sent," which in this case is appropriate because it a representation of commitment just like one in a for sale thread.  ;-)

Yes the Stage 2 will work great on the Mini and yes he can have your slot.  Thanks for pointing out the lack of a Mini listing.  I'll add it today.

I don't think two words are necessary when it can be summed up with just one.  :P  Just kidding, Pete.

Ok Nate... so you are saying that you DO have a kit for the Mini? Please PM me with price points so I can pass it along to him. I am about 90% sure he is in, but I just want to get it all straight before I go back to him with it.

If I remember correctly, there were a lot more than two people interested in this deal.  Where'd you all go?  I'd like to have this kit, please.

I'm still in. I'm just waiting for the 26th of Jan for the money or, if I have a snow day next week, the 2nd of Feb.

Nate - Just to make sure, I need the stage 2 gas kit and not the diesel right? Your web site has the TDI listed under the diesel kit.

Going with the Stage 2 Gas kit will save you some money and pretty much give you the same function.  I'll have to do a little research as far as nozzle selection goes but the kit should work fine.  are you doing an egr delete?

As soon as I do a chip I'll get it deleted so until then it looks like I'm going to keep it boxed up. I don't think the car will really need it until I do some upgrades anyways.

Updated.

This is moving a little slower than I was hoping.  If you guys know anyone who is interested in picking up one of our kits feel free to get them on here and in the group buy.  I just want to hook up 719ers and this is the only way I can.

I'm trying to talk my dad into this for his F-350 Super-whatever he's got.  He JUST chipped it for Christmas (complements of Santa) so I'm slowly and surely turning him into a "modder".

Hey Nate, what kit would he need for his Ford MY04', 7.....4? liter Diesel?

Awesome.  There are actually two kits available for a Ford 6.0 Powerstroke.  What's great about water/methanol injection on a diesel is that it really helps to reduce EGT's.  All the chip/controller/programmer manufacturers do to make more power is plug in more fuel.  This works but only to a point.  You can actually have too much fuel and create and over fueling condition.  When this happens unburned diesel fuel is being pushed out the exhaust where it turns into particulate matter (soot) and this creates a huge increase in EGT's.  EGT's are probably the biggest killer of any modern performance diesel.

Water/methanol injection does three things on a diesel:

1. Cools and condenses incoming air charge.  More oxygen in the combustion chamber means more burned diesel.

2. Methanol acts as a combustion catalyst on a diesel.  Using more of the available fuel in the combustion chamber means more power and more efficiency.

3. When water changes states from a highly atomized fluid to a vapor it has expansive qualities.  We call this the "steam engine" effect and it actually increases cylinder pressure on the power stroke making more torque.

By completing buring all of the fuel in the combustion chamber you harnessing all the potential energy diesel has to offer and you're also reducing EGT's.

The Stage 2 system references boost only to determine when and how much to inject.  The Stage 3 system references boost and EGT's and using a 2D map to control injection.  The Stage 3 system provides better EGT control but you'll see the same horsepower increase from both systems.
