Nope, all breaking and running lamps appeared to be running correctly.  They were smoked though, which has nothing to do with why I took the pictures.

  That would've been a lot easier if it wasn't covered in snow and if the pic wasn't terrible.  Might as well have been "the front grill is missing!"   lol

Confused LOGO
« Reply #22 on: January 08, 2007, 05:51:20 PM »

I am probably the worst to comment on it but I'll speak my peace.
A Porche logo would have been cooler,
I couldn't have frowned on Audi rings (as ugly as it would have been),
A BMW logo is downright sacriligious!

P.S. I have found a BMW graveyard and the owner says there is a VW graveyard here somewhere... I'll keep looking and post info for you parts junkies when I locate it... I am told angels will sing to me when I find it! HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Oh... sorry.

It's here outside of Athens... But the thing is most of them will do the  shipping and what not. I just figured I'd let you guys know I'm looking for the VW promised land. The first thing I saw in the shop at the BMW yard was 3 or 4 sets of BBS splits that came on the earlier models in fair to good condition... But I really hate BBS splits... Thought I'd pass on the info. I don't think the guy knew what he had, and I wasn't gonna tell him!

What exactly do they look like, really? They are just not my thing so I keep walking when I see the BBS logo. I do know it is the Holy Grail for VW junkies, that's all I know. Hell, my GLI has BBSs stock and I am trying with all that is sane not to get rid of them...

these are BBS RM wheels... notice the center caps. They are a 2 piece wheel, with a barrel, and a lip. These particular RM's have a machined face, so they have perfect straight cut edges on the wheel pattern. If you have a stock mkII GLI, chances are you have these wheels... if not, you have RA's... (see further down)

these are BBS RS wheels.... basically, the same thing, but a 3 piece wheel... again, notice the center cap

and, finally.... the one piece RA's

I did see a few of those but I didn't check the condition... I'll take a look again Saturday, if I'm off. MyGLI is a MK4 and the wheels still are missing something...
