I was impressed with what Lexus came out with.  Especially the Live Traffic update with its navigation and the 8 speed tranny (auto)

My vote is for the S8... Obviously

The S8 obviously. I always tell people that if money were no object that'd be my daily driver.  It's a land yacht.

I just noticed something, on audiusa.com, under the S8 Specs; It states for fuel type to use Super Plus 98/95 RON.

Who offers that?  Shit 93 is hard to come by in these parts.

Im not sure any of the cars are expensive enough to be able to afford a chaufer I would be chaufered in a maybach are a rolls but those are everyday cars. I would take the LS out of those choices, if Mercedes was in the vote I would take that.

I would take the 760.....then again I'm biased towards BMW. Plus, it helps that I would get it at COST + $100.  :P

 :agree:

If I had to be driven around, I sure as hell wouldn't give the chauffer the keys to my S8.  Give him a Maybach or Rolls or something and let me ride comfortably in the back.  I'm not thinking a sporty car is gonna give the most plush ride and I don't want my Moet spilling because the chauffer thinks he a race car driver.

Now, if it were my daily driver, I'd take the S8 from the choices given.

RON is different from the Octane ratings we use around here.  I think that's just premium fuel.  I'll have to look in my car again when I go out for lunch.  It should say what the RON equivalent is inside the fuel door.  At least I remember seeing it before.

Having had a chauffer for almost a year, I can tell you that nothing is cooler than that! When I was 12/13 my father was contacted by an old friend who was apprently trying to settle a debt, and the outcome was a personal driver for our family for many, many months.

We used a Lincoln Town Car, and I am surprised the A8L is not on that list above, because it would be my choice. The Maybach is a very obvious choice as well, but a bit out of the realm of realism.

I cannot vote for any of the choices above, simply because they are not big enough!

That was my thought too.  When I think of a car to be driven around in, a long wheelbase is at the top of the list and only the 760Li is a LWB version I believe.  Was the Phaeton sold in the US the LWB or SWB version?  I want to say it's the LWB but I'm not 100% sure of it.  The Lexus will finally be offered in a LWB version and the S8 is the SWB version.

If I had a chauffer I'd get a Maybach; but I wouldn't want a chauffer. I'll go for this:

Or this if I had more loot:

Maybach either driving or scooted around.  Long wheelbase (62) if I ride in the back and short wheel base (57) Brabus model on 21"s if I'm driving.

I think 640 hp and a 0-62 in 4.9 from the punched out v12 bi-turbo would do me nicely.
