I found this in my email. This was taken in Puerto Rico when i was hit head on doing 40mph by a drunk driver. I was NOT wearing a seat belt. I hit the steering wheel so hard that it bent. I could open the driver side door nether could it close that why its tied shut with the seatbelt. I had a fratured nose. and my knee caps were bruised. luckily the 3 surfboards in the back did not go through the back of my head. I surfer the next day

a couple years, if you look at my nose, you'll see it's crooked. i had a severe concusion at that point, i felt like i was outter space cuz everyone was speaking machine gun spanish....... oh it sucked

Dude, a steering wheel is going to do more damage than a seat belt.  If that wasn't the case, we wouldn't have seatbelts.  ;-)

Surprised your still with us that looks bad. I'll try and get pics up of when kelly and I got into our accident in 97 while driving her Beetle. Ate the windshield, cut off both my lips and opened my nose up, basically I didn't even have a face left when I got to the hospitol. Plastic surgeons worked on me four 8 hours to rebuild my face and yes thats why I'm ugly.

this past February, My car was totalled.  This guy hit me from the side and sent me head first into a pole at about 30-35 mph, the only reason why i did not get hurt BAD was my seatbelt.  Just bruised knees and shins, and severe whiplash.  I love my seat belt! :)

I wish I had a way to post the pics of the Neon we wrecked (totalled) in Germany. We hit a car that was sliding out of control and ripped the entire back end off of his car. We were rolling at about 55 or 60 and he was well above 90 sliding sideways across the road.

All 4 people in the Neon (Sherri, her parents and me) walked away but the Neon was on fire and just MANGLED, the roof buckled, the pass. side shifted backwards several inches, the trunk was warped from the shift, and the worst inury in the car was a nasty gash on Sherri's head from slamming backwards into the spot where the roof buckled.

We all had rough seatblet bruises and some soreness, but I cannot imagine the carnage that would have taken place without seatbelts.... consider yourself HUGELY lucky Kyle.

The thing about your pic that makes me giggle is that the hood looks perfect... LOL
