Scott- have you ever been to an autocross? They have loaners. Care of myself and Macktastic.

Buying one off the internet without trying it on is stupid. Fit is the most important part. From my motorcycle experience, the same size from different companies can totaly fit or not fit the shape of your head.

I know they have loaners... I do not want to use one if I do not have to.

As for the "stupid" decision, I checked the sizing guide and the measurement is correct for my head size.

Dude - the "size" that is listed is only part of fitting a helmet. Is every single head the exact same shape? Didn't think so. I fit Shoeis very well, but Arais (same SIZE) are very uncomfortable.

Nappy, what brand is that thing? You may want to just go to Rocky Mtn Cycle Plaza or Apex and go try helmets on. THey even have inexpensive ones, they are just heavier. And I think that is ok for the application you are using it for. Ya don't have to hold your head up landing a 70 ft triple :good_job:

The brand is M2R, and according to the chart I am on the small to middle range of their medium size helmet (which this one is) I understand that helmets vary, but for the price of this one and the amount of time I will be wearing it... who really gives a shit?

The bid is currently right at $60... if it goes much higher I am not gonna sweat it.

Design had nothing to do with this... and that helmet is different... the standard version of the helmet I am looking at retails for $159 and yes it meets all the specs.

If you aren't totally set on getting a full face helmet, the open faced ones are cheaper.

Yeah I was looking at a Bell open face one last night and that is probably what I will go with (open face) just because I have some stupid quirks and I am sure that the full face helmet would bug the piss out of me...
