What is it about this wheel that you guys dont like:

I like the design, and the fact that its a semi forged wheel for less than 400.  I just dont like the fact that its borderline if not over the line too shiny.

if you like 'em, rock 'em Lance especially if they are in fact a real two piece.  However, you are still going to get a better wheel for the money going used.  ;-)

Looks fine IMO, could look better if they made a cap for the lug section. Bottom line is still --- what do you think? And if you like it, do it !

Its a high polish.  If you google AT Italia Spider, the first link should be tireracks page, you can see real closeups of the wheel.  I think it looks awesome on my car too.

If u want to use their configurator just put in 2001 audi s4, search for 18's and click that wheel on santorin blue.

$250 for all 4 at what size and how old?

You can search high and dry for those wheels, hell even similar wheels like CH's are selling for 1500 to 2k used for 4.

On a side note, my understanding and interpretation of "ricey" has always been something thats designed to look like something it isnt, and/or tacky/gaudy.

I certainly dont think the wheels are by any means gaudy.  Now if it wasnt a true 2 piece than i could maybe see it being ricey.  But from all the research i've done this is supposed to be a good quality wheel from a good company.  So, who knows, i'll probably order them cus im sick of trying to decide, and i cant find anything that will work on vortex.  Pissing me off, there are all kinds of 19's in wheels that i like, like CH's and shit, but 19" wheel + colorado roads = fucked up wheel.  I already feel like i'm pushing the envelope with getting 18's.

Ok, here is my biggest concern... you are talking about a pretty damn high end performance tire. If this is going to be your only set of wheels, then you need to be looking at an all season tire... period... do not try to use summer tires in the winter unless you enjoy wrecking your car.

Your other option is to make your current wheels winter only and buy some real winter/ ice tires. Then save a bit more and buy what you really want after the thaw. It sound more expensive, but think about wrecking your car, which sounds cheaper in the long run?

I agree with you, with the exception of what i want and what i can afford or justify are two wholly different stories.  Think of it this way.  I'm sure plenty of you would like a 2007 RS4, so would you go out and buy a 1986 honda civic and then "save up" for 4 or 5 years so you can get the RS4, the whole time having to deal with the dregs of a car.  No, probably not.  Some might, but i'm not some.

I've always fancied myself a reasonable person, and i'm just looking for a reasonable solution to the problem.  And frankly, anything over about 450 a wheel is not reasonable for me.

I'm also not sure you guys understand how much i abhor my current wheels.  I'm sick of seeing them, i'm especially sick of cleaning them, and honestly i never really liked them in the first place.  I hate chunky wheels with big fat spokes.  Granted i liked them a lot more than the stock S4 wheels (hideous), so i didnt complain.  But i've had this car for 2 years, ive always said i wanted wheels, and now i have the financial means, i've found something that i like.
