I actually liked it....VW did have some clever commercials in the past (love the whole tossing the shoe into the tree to get the GTI out).

I like the old GTI one with the guy driving and his girl friend is asleep and he keeps hearing a squeaking noise and it ends up being her ear ring so they stop and a old guy at a gas station oils it.  Something about quality.

i like the one where the guy licks the handle at the dealership.

or the mk2 gti pair that "dance" through the curves together, and yes, i'm old enough to remember that one.

That is pretty sweet.
And just like the new Jetta.. the new GTI has been growing on me.

Got to see the Jetta V at my dealership last week. It is nicer
in person than in pics. Then again.. that can be said about alot
of cars.
