VWOTG, how it went down.
« on: May 21, 2006, 04:35:16 PM »

Well for those that couldn't make it I am giving my take on the day:

Meeting at Walmart this morning was like a really sweet gtg, only way to early.  Everyone's dub was shined up and looking their best.

We stood around until 8:30, and then we stood around some more waiting for a few stragglers.  I really didn't mind waiting the extra half hour but some people were making their blood pressure rise about it :P.  Then everyone showed up and we shoved off for KK!  We had a fun, spirited drive up which you could have mistaken for a fucking photoshoot frenzy!  Unfortunately, Nick (Acosta) and his gf got nabbed by a damn cop.  Nick got fined and his girlfriend got ticketed .  We arrived at Krisky Kreme and stocked up on some last minute calories and met up with the rest of what seemed like the entire dub scene in Denver.

Then was off to the show and as I turn to get back on 470 I saw that most of the dubs have waited for everyone to get in line so we all knew where we were going.  And that was quite a sight!  It was all dubs from the turn onto the onramp, all the way down to the interstate!

The show had all the same sweet dubs that go to all the shows and some new ones as well.  The parking was all fucked up but I expected that after last year's show.  Also the cars were so packed into such a small space that most cars were blocked in.  This proved to be a large pain in the ass for Los since Lithia Decided to leave with its 6 cars and they were driving WAY to close to his car.

I went to this show with a bit of a negative attitude but still went just to have fun.  I didn't even register my car in the show because I really didn't care if people liked my car or not.  I had a genuine good time hanging with everyone under that tree.  We had the grill going and BBQed up some good shit.  Nick(le) was generous and brought 2 of his longboards which btw is the ONLY way to look at the cars at a car show like this!

Kordd took home the trophy for the M-K-1 class and upsettingly James or Los didn't win best mk3.  719 didn't fair to well this year at VWOTG but who cares, it's just a warm up show, right?

I didn't take any pics but everone that did is welcome to post them here if they want.

Say whatever you want dude...

These silly comments mean very little anymore. You and I both know you were not joking and trying to play it off is  pretty weak on your part.

So like I said before.....   " "

After chewing out the parking guy, I had a good time today.

The drive up was where most picture taking took place. I unfortunately only took 10 pics and none of 719 cars.
I did take this classic pic of Kordd receiving his trophy (again  ).

I concentrated on getting video rather then pics. Nickle took several pics which he is sending to me to put in the new 719 Representin Photo gallery.
