Do you know how cool it would be to slam that thing with some uber-wide 16's?  I might be weird, but that would be a cool car to have.

I hate autos, and I am watching that auction.

Lets see...

Trailer it home, cut the springs, install Porsche adapters and some 16" Porsche Wheels and drive it.

Wow, that thing rocks. Somebody from here def needs to buy it and slam that bitch. Slam it, slap on some wide-lip BBS wheels, call it a day, and rock it everywhere.

BTW Troy, did you ever buy that brown Audi Fox? What ever happened to it?

yeah I was wondering is Troy bought that Audi Fox too.  He has a knack for buying up rad rare cars and turing them into scrap metal in no time at all.   :P

I can say this because I've owned two Audis and I love them both.  Audis back then were horrible in terms of reliability.  They had MAJOR issues in the early 1980s.  My dad had an Audi in 1980.  That thing died on him constantly while sitting at red lights.  It got so bad that one day he drove the car to a BMW dealership, got out of the car and left it running for fear it would die on him, walked onto the showroom floor, pointed at the first BMW on the floor and said "I'll take that one" and never looked back at the Audi!  LOL

Obviously, Audi is a completely different company now than it was back then.  I guess it is kind of ironic because they are considered one of the best manufactures in terms of safety and reliability nowadays -- but certainly not 25 years ago!

well...oddly enough it is labeled a 1975.  But its the same car, and no... it isn't as clean as the pics suggest.  The door cards look nice at a distance, but up close they are falling apart... and the backing boards are dryrotted.

OK... it hard to say if its a '75 or a '76 model... I checked the drivers side door label and it said 05/75?

well spent a few more hours at the salvage yard... I left exhausted, sweaty, with a cramp in my theigh, and a crick in my back... I did her sitting up, laying down, sideways, and in the trunk... and when I was done with her, she looked like a ravaged hulk of what she was
Every single time I took my tool to her... trying to take something off... it came off like she was a virgin on prom night!  I have never seen a 30yo car that every nut, bolt, and screw came out like the car was brand new

CHROME CHROME CHROME :P
how about all 4 chrome door handles, chrome ignition lock, and chrome trunk latch... and the KEYS WERE IN THE CAR! :D

Chrome drivers side miror, does need new glass though..

retro Steering wheel, not in perfect shape... but still nice :)

instrument cluster with GLASS bezels!  still need to test the parts of the cluster... but dang!

Arm Rests

Interior front door handles (protrude from behind the arm rests) and the complete door latch hardware....

I wanted more, but I'm salvaging on a psuedo budget :?

this shiz should hit ebay (unless I get a real good offer first) this weekend!

Ok everyone I might do this, what would it take to just make it a decent daily driver for me and then I can look at some nice rims and stuff later on.  I have the cash to go get it so I need your opinions on if I should do it.
