What's up with the 3 inch wide wheels on the cars that are pictured on the home page?

Are you trying to start some new trend?

Since there are no links leading anywhere, I think this falls more under the category "Webpage" than "Website"...

Autocross classes:

Where is the Audi 80/90?  Esp the 4cyl models.

On the points system - a motor swap is 7 points or move to donors class, then there is 5 point for increased displacement.

Is the swap and increased displacement considered seperately?  Meaning, will I get 7 points for the 2.0 swap in the Dasher, and then 5 points for going from 1.6 to 2.0?

Are the 80/90 not 8v motors??

As for the other question, you would be classed based on the motor swap, and in your case moved up a class. The increased displacement was meant for cars like Ryans... bored out blocks that came with that car.

I edited the page, it should be easier to grasp now...

Yes, it is an 8V, but it is a 2.0 8V - so it isn't listed anywhere in particular.

The increased displacement from boring/stroking makes sense now.

Thanks.

I would say they start in Class G witht he other 8v's, but most of them are Quattro, which is a pretty big points hit!

Did you have any issues reading anything else or navigating the site?? these are things that will help us out a lot, so speak up!

With the number of ABA 2.0 swaps, I would think that would be one to nail down for sure.  I will scan it again later.

Oh, "other internal engine mods" is inclusive of cams, porting, milling the head for more compression, different pistons w/o increasing displacement, etc., right?

Non-Oem forced induction:  Does that mean that a 1.8T with a T3/T4 manifold and turbo would get the points?  Or just if they added a turbo or blower to a NA engine?

Yeah I am not too confident in having the 16v's in that class, but they would romp all over the class below them... any suggestions on a better way to sort it out?

Conversions get points added, in that case it would be non-OEM forced induction and 10 points.

i honestly dont believe that 16V's will get "romped".  i know i can get on a 1.8T till 3rd gear in Maybeline.  so, i actually dont think it is a bad idea.  since so many people do 16V swaps, i suggest putting them in their OWN class.  thats my 2 cents.[/quote]

You clearly did not read the points system... motor swaps move you into the class of the donor. SO if a rabbit that had a 1.7 puts a 16v in it, he would be in the 16v class, and he would be even up with the 1.8t because of the weight difference. I will have to think on this a bit more... but not right now!

Keep in mind that this is more of a handling and driver skill event...

44 points at first rough count...that would put me in C-class I guess.

If I go.  Still undecided.
