993 and 996 turbos were AWD stock.  Unless it was a 996 GT2 then it was 2wd.  What year aircooled Porsche?  That makes a difference on engine size.

Not unless it was a four cylinder.  Why do you ask exactly?  I'm curious.

993 and 996 Turbos - except GT2's of both types (yes, 993 GT2's do exist), and 993 and 996 Carrera 4S's (C4S), also 964 Carrera 4's. Don't forget the 959 (now legal in the US) and 962. Engine sizes ranged from 3.3 to to 3.6 liters.

993 GT2's were extremely rare and I don't believe they were offered in the US that is why I left them out.  Carrera 4's were basically like an option on the Carrera 2.  He said he wanted to know about cars that came with only 4wd but I guess that counts.  Aircooled Porsche engines did not start at 3.3 liters.  The sixes started at 2.0 liters in the 911.  And the biggest I know of from the factory was 3.6 unless you include the 3.8 RSR's.

Thank you very much, and the last question would be, on the smallest 2 liter motor what was the stock HP rating?

I was saying engines for AWD cars started at 3.3 liters (3387 cc in the 996 C4) and went up. And as far as the 993 GT2 goes - I've heard there are a dozen or so of the 50 made, here in the US. He didn't specify any rarity limitations...

The weakest 2.0 liter (1991 cc) engine was a 110 hp beast, available in the '67-69 911T.

yes... we are adding porsches to the line up this year...
Simply because a/c porsches are just as vw as audi to w/c.  So we are letting w/c porsches too... think it would be fun to see them at the autocross....

haha, It sure would be a good trivia question.  Porsche did make 71 Jagdwagen (Porsche Typ 597) SUV's back around WW2.  they had 356a engines(1.6 liter).

now regarding 2.0 liter porsches, the lowest was more likely the 2.0 914-4's which had 95-100hp depending on country and year.

We are letting Posches in on a VERY small scale... it is one watercooled class and one aircooled class. In the autocross they are broken down properly.

Pete, if you want to look at what we have go to http://www.dubsalongtherockies.com and choose the racing page. It is not set in stone by any means, and I am actually welcoming suggestions so that these cars are classed as fairly and competitively as possible.

per your listing, just an FYI 914-6, 964s, and pre 96 911 turbos are all aircooled.  Which makes the class structure a little ambiguous.

Those particular models were pulled right out of the NASA rulebook, and I was not really concerned with keeping the aircooled cars separate, I just broke them out so I could list them easier for the aircooled people looking at the lists.

Do you think (based on experience) they are in a class appropriate to the car? If not, where would you place them?
