The black part that all of the screws go into... We are taking my car apart again to try to locate the source of the oil leak again. Ane found ouit that one of them was repaired badly. Besides the junkyard (Duane is going there later) where else do i find one of these things?

Bucket?

Are you talking about the actual headlight or the core support.

MK3's don't have headlight buckets as the headlight is one complete unit to include the mounting points etc.

Now is a PERFECT time for you to take those cheap ass GL headlights off and at least put on some OEM GTI's or some other nice aftermarket unit.

My car actually has GL lights on it now.. Pat's the one that told me about it after VWOTG '03.. I decided that I like those better.
