is there a difference between it and an 1.8 8v pan?  I don't know much about the rabit diesils, if there isn't I got one for you.

There's a guy on VWC selling 5 diesel rabbit part cars in Cali, willing to part and sounds like he just wants to get rid of the stuff, rather than make bucks off of it.

1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 8V engines all can use the same pan.  Only difference is if you go from the smaller one (3.7 quart) to 4.7 qt you need to use the plastic baffle for the larger pan that clips on the oil pickup.  I just gave my last one to Kordd.  Pretty sure I don't have any more, but I might.  If I do its yours.
