Engine Mods: AEM CAI, GIAC chip, Turn2 Lightweight crank pulley, denso iridium spark plugs, Eurosport plug wires, OBX racing headers, TT high flow cat, Remus Futura exaust with stock resonator, VW motorsport upper engine mount, VF engineering dogbone mount
Tranny mods: VW motorsport tranny mount, Neuspeed shift weight
Suspension: Vw sport suspension
Brakes: Front Brembo slotted rotors, Rear Zimmerman drilled, Stainless brake lines, Mintex red box pads front and rear
Wheels/Tires: 16" OZ Superleggeras, Goodyear All season tires
Interior: Sparco Torino seats(2) w/ Schroth ASM harness, Silver Net Optic interior trim kit, Zender VWA shift shob, 42dd gauge cluster with VDO volts, oil pressure, oil temp, Autometer air/fuel ratio gauge mounted on steering column-----car has no back seats
Other: Seibon carbon fiber hood (stock look), new monster mats will be included
Recent Work: AC revamped (new hoses, compressor, recharged), water pump updated to steel impeller (old one plastic)
The bad: needs alignment shim kit (no damage to new wheels, hit pot hole and shitty shop that fixed it didn't notice---shim kit costs $140 from dealer)--- IMPORTANT----this car was in an accident at 54,000 miles where it bottomed out and cracked the oilpan. This, for whatever reason, blew the side curtain airbag---I had the airbags disconnected and added the racing seats and harnesses. The headliner is somewhat creased above the drivers door. I had the engine replaced under warranty as well (engine has 1000 miles less than says on odo).

I just moved here from Lawrence, KS, and yes, this is my first post on this forum. I have been active on my local forum (KCH2O.org) for about a year, and plan to be very active on this one as well. Long story short, I bought this car brand new and have always planned on a turbo or supercharger upgrade. However, I am ready to part ways with her and use most of the money to finish building my MK1. She runs like a dream, and I have not winter driven her up here except when it's nice enough. I am asking $7,500 OBO because I need to sell her ASAP. I will not part out anything (sorry). I will be posting pics tomorrow or friday, call 303-258-7498 (ask for John) or leave a message and time when you can be reached. I can also be reached with PM, but don't have Internet access in my home, so it may take a day or so for a response. I will be bringing this car to the weekly GTG on Saturday as well.

KCH2O is a cool group, when it first started, I kind of thought the organization looked like a smaller version of what we have going here. Welcome to the group, and didn't you come out for DATR last year??

I didn't think anyone made headers for the MK4 12V. I'd never been able to find any.

well I just went to the OBX racing website and they don't even advertise VW parts.

edit: Ok, went to the TT site and they carry the OBX header. Doesn't say if its MK3 or MK4 applicable, I'm guessing you can use a MK3 12V header on your MK4 12V?

Also keep in mind I haven't had my MK4 in over a year so i haven't done any searching for parts on them.

edit: Just got done checking 10 sites, thus far OBX one is the only one offered as being for the MK4 12V, but concept1 lists it for both MK3 and MK4.

summary: ok Nappy the supreme expert of all things, you tell me where else you can find a MK4 12V VR6 header. And show me that it was available 2 yrs ago when I was looking for it. Thats your challenge.

I have yet to attend DATR, but the guys who came out from my club last year had a blast. I am planning on hosting the lot of 'em at my new place this year. With a free place to stay, most of the power players should be coming out. As for the VR6 headers, it was a bitch getting them to fit, but they make the VR sound awesome.There was no noticeable hp gain, but they make the VR sing over 90mph. However, I could not reccommend them due to the problems I encountered with fitment. I also forgot to post the dyno #'s earlier. 169hp, 176tq on a mustang dyno (or whatever Imagine Auto in KC has---I was told any other dyno could bring better numbers--also two spark plugs were fouled during these runs, I have yet to retest because I really don't care, she moves like I want her to). The guys at Imagine were impressed by the torque curve, which is very flat. My buddy will be back in town tomorrow, and I will use his camera to post pics.
