how do i get online if?

i am moving to calhan and will not do bussiness with the phone company, so no phone line. i use adelphia but that is not an option unless i want to run a few miles of fiber optic cable. what options do i have? do the have something that goes on direct TV or somthing else with a satalite? i know this is a stupid question but i am clueless.

Directv sells their own satellite stuff, but it is expensive.

i am moving the trailer. i bought 38 acres on top of the hill out on 94 just past ellicot. i can see the whole city and all the mountians

your pretty much stuck to dial up or wireless and wireless blows but it's better than dial up sometimes

it's 28 miles from platte and powers, but the hill it is on is so big i can see all the lights of the city still. what exactly is wireless? i thought you still had to had a modem in your house.
