wow you went from mki's to tt's.  i'm sure you'll change you mind a hundred more times during the course of your deployment.  do all your research once you get over to iraqistan... that way you'll have something to occupy your time.

Actually I want AWD, and sportiness.  I'm also thinking of W8 Passat w/ 6spd, Subaru 2.5RS 2dr, Audi A4, and of course the R32 but I'm pretty sure that the R32 will be too expensive.

Don't get an A4.  You'd have to take back all the "yuppie" comments you've made about them.  ;)

The upgrade path for a 225 Quattro is just like any other 1.8T car..granted you are starting out with more HP to begin with.

Software, downpipe, exhaust, intercooler, diverter valve, etc......

Expect to pay more for a set of coilovers if you go that route as the rear suspension design is different on the quattro from a regular front wheel drive platform.

Hey, I do still miss my MK4.  And I never said they sucked.  My MK4 comments were mere fun and I only said that the R was overrated in its "cool points superiority".  Never said I wouldn't own either.

I'm not nixing a MK1 project either, I'll be 3 mos after my ETS when I get back.  Thats another 15000$ in sign-on bonus whether I stay guard or go active.  Either way I'll be getting enough money to buy a nice, new car and have a blast working on a Rabbit.

Hey, one of the cars I'm thinking of buying is a 2dr MK4 Golf TDI.  How yuppie is that?  Anyways, I have never been serious about my yuppie comments.  Just poking fun at ppl.

I figured that, got any good sites I can check out?  I checked Neuspeed, RPI, Avalon, and AutoTech.  Neuspeed I've always liked and they have tons of suspension for it, but not a lot for the engine.

BTW, Have you heard anything on those Haldex controllers?  I know they will work fot the R32 and Audi TT, just wondering if you heard any good/bad news about them.

You know, when i reenlist.  They give rather large bonuses for that now.

I will ETS while I'm in Iraq.  That means they'll stop-loss me until I get back, at which point I will either re-up or go ActiveDuty.

Not many recruiters in Iraq, besides I won't have to.  I'll still be in due to the stop loss, I'll also have a few months to make a descision without having to worry about a break in service.

I think the reason she said that is because the bonus is non-taxable if you reenlist while you're in-theater.

Might have to look into that then, except that would eliminate the possibillity of ActiveDuty

Ok mr SETuning, how much is that APR Stage 3+?  And can I get it with a front mount and the 3in exhaust they mentioned in the video?

Truthfully for the APR stuff i would go through the two other APR dealers, Joel and SCR, they can get you the better deals  ;-) (everything else i can take care of ya ;)

Yeah, I noticed the 3" exhaust was 2500$  Damn thats pricey, APR makes Neuspeed look cheap.

Why no stut bars, lower tie-ends, or sway bars?
