New TT sans Camo
« on: January 24, 2006, 07:04:07 PM »

Posted from another forum.

http://www.speedsportlife.com/all-new-audi-tt-coupe-and-roadster-spied-without-camo/

Not quite the changes I had expected from the renderings I'd seen before and the shooting brake concept that we saw a few months back.  Looks too similar to the current model.  Plus, it shows a resemblance to the new Eclipse also which I don't really care for.  looks a bit like a cross between the Eclipse and a 350Z.

They did soften the corporate grille though, it isn't nearly as pronouced as it has been on other recent redesigns.

What do you all think?

I was worried that once they released I'd be tepted to spend my Iraq money on it instead of my rabbit.  No longer worried, I hate it.

I'll reserve judgement until I see one completely without camo.

It's based on the same chassis as the Audi A3, which I believe is also shared with the VW MK V Golf/Jetta

I'll give it a chance when it gets here, but I still think i'm gonna like the look of the original better.

Yes.   Like the last generation was built on the same platform as the Golf, New Beetle, A3, and Jetta, so is this one.
