First thing I thought of

BTW, doesn't the human ear stop hearing at around 20Hz?  So that 10Hz- frequency response is just for knocking over concrete buildings, right?

Greg you are right.  The ear can only hear down to 20hz, but the tones that are so low they can't be heard still effect the sounds you can hear  So the sound will be more accurate if the amp can play it.
