My old black one is up for sale again and I am not able to pick it back up. He is selling it for $1500 but I am sure he will take $1200 for it. He fixed the crank seal leak so it no longer has any oil leaks. Currently it has a blown radiator hose but I am going to fix it for him prior to the sale.

I will dig up specs and pics asap. Just wanted to get the word out before he puts it in the Denver Post.  ;-)

Oh man, I love your old car. Wish I could afford it - then I'd have two flat black A1's, I could start a collection...

OK Cullen, why don't you just say you don't have the product in stock?

Brad didn't you tell me at one point that this car had lots of rust issues? Were  they all fixed, and if not, what are we looking at?? Oh yeah, and does that thing have power steering?

No power steering. and lots of rust issues equates to the price. If it were mint it would be alot more expensive. Alot of the rust can be easily fixed with a little elbow grease and a couple of patches.

usual places.. behind the wheels. VW was horrible in the 80's at protecting the fender areas. The front could be fixed with a couple of fenders and some cleaning up on the underside right behind the fenders and the rear would need some small patch work. Really these are not as bad as it sounds.

So are we talking structural shit..or just some general patchwork and new fenders?

Are 81 Jetta fenders as hard to find as Mk1 Scirocco fenders?

general patchwork and new fenders. This car is structurally sound. Never had any questions when driving the crap out of it at Second Creek.

If you are looking to get it cheaper due to the rust then forget it.
If it were perfect it would be selling for closer to $3 grand.
