I am happy.  I got my LM1 wideband and my Greddy profec Bspec II this week.  Dunn is dropping off the little motor tomorrow morning.  Who is game for some VR6 play time?

Gonna pull the jetta in, pull the motor, clean up donor motor, bolt on goodies and new headgasket on spacer, set it up with SDS required stuffz, and put her back together.  Tomorrow I will know condition of motor from dunn..  Head off, cylinders looked at, crank area looked at, etc, etc,,,

Sunday Jetta should be in for start of disassembly and I will see how its goes monday because I am off work.

Good to hear.

Unfortunately I am going to be gone all weekend.  I might stop by on my way back from the mountains on Sunday though.

I want to get a good start on this beast this weekend.   I will be working 10 hour days again all next week like I did most of this week so weekends are my time to make progress.

negative.

Dunn has a bud that does those charger prototypes..  He got the motor a while back with intentions of prototyping a charger setup on it and it only collected dust.  He posted up a while back about it and said he needed $500 for it.  I now have it setting in my garage.  It has the head, injectors and rail, tensioner, accessorie bracket, timing hardware, and secondary air pump on it..  HEHE

Yeah, it made me wish I needed a VR6 engine for something.  He has a BUNCH of japanese stuff (honda, Toyota 4cyl) and a partial 2.0 crossflow, too.  I'll probably swing by his place next week and check some more stuff out.

Have not pulled the head yet.  That should be today.  I bet the bad motor looks like Ryan's inside.  The main part that concerned me which was what caused the failure has already been fixed.
