S4 vs. M3?

I was just wondering what you guys think of the 2004 audi s4 and the 2004 BMW M3.  I been reading reviews all morning and can't really make up my mind on which is better.  Just wondering..... that's all.

I know this is a audi/vw auto gruppe but try not to be biased.

only if the s4 is a wagon and its jazz blue! i saw a video with a s4 vs a m3 on a track and the m3 couldn't keep up. now i'm not to keen on the new m3's so if it was a 97',98', or 99' m3, i'd choose M3!!!

Had a chance to purchase a rare 1992 4-door M3 back in the day, insurance was too high back then. Oh and M3!

quattro is a great mechanical system, but when considering that the main time audi kicks ass is in inclement weather, rwd just sounds that much more appealing to drive on the streets and the track.

with that being said, i would still take my lowly a4 because bmw's are a dime a dozen out here, it takes a meathead like me to pick up an audi. :)

that's not the TT version. in a competition of the b5 s4 vs. current m3, then yes, i'd go for the s4 as well.
