Ok, I fully realize that there is NO comparison between DATR and Waterfest, but I would very much like to hear from folks who atteneded both. I would like to know what you saw at Waterfest that would be cool to have at our show, or whatyou saw at Waterfest that we actually did better. Basically I just want to hear what you think we as a group could learn from the biggest show in the USA!

IMO: I realize why you didn't group cars together, but I think it makes for a more professional show to keep similar cars together.

Have more cars to look at. I didn't even get to all the cars at Waterfest and at DATR I saw them all in about 2 hours.

I agree..and I know that Nappy is going to disagree... but really that is one thing that really kind of doesn't fit with DATR... just park the cars by classes and get it over with Nappy

Overall, I thought both shows were pretty well run. Aside from the obvious stuff for DATR, like spreading the raffles out throught the show instead of all at once, I'm going to agree with Pat and James.

One thing that I didn't like about Waterfest was the confusion on the morning of the show. You had to pick up your registration materials at the main gate, then drive to another gate to enter the show car area. If there had been a sign or something, it would have made things a lot clearer. But overall, Waterfest was great.

Hmmm, I guess the car grouping thing is about it. They also had a "sound off" competition for ICE. Probably an easy and cheap thing to do to draw more entrants.
