11.8 1/4 mile time in my Jetta

No not really.  Well I went last Friday and my best was 15.46 @96 MPH.  I'm really not impressed with it at all!  Actually I was pissed.  Traction was a big issue plus I had to wait for the tranny to get 2 nd gear, the dealer did a really shitty job on the cable adjustments.  Anyways my 60ft time ranged from 2.3 to 2.6.  Who ever said its differant @ a track, they were right.  Only cause you have to concentrate on not moving @ all after you stage!
Well also I went with a buddy in a EVO VIII, he managed to pull of a 12.8 @ well over a 100 MPH, I think he did it around 108 or so. Another guy I went with has a supercharged V6 Acura TL i think. It was a mid size sedan. RS, TL or something like that.  He pulled off some 14.4's at right around a 100.

So now I have to get that ATP GT2X or a GT28RS.  Damn it!  I really thought my car was faster than that.

Do you think leaving at a lower rpm off the line and just driving away would give you a better 60ft?

I ran a 14.3@96 with 10lbs of boost with a crappy (for a old Bug) 60ft of 2.2, I should be in the sub 2.0 on street tires. I have new adjustable rear shocks on the way to help. I was told I was almost lifting the front wheels off the ground off the line and shifting to 2nd. I was bogging off the line at first so I let my tire pressure down to 26lbs and that fixed the bog but got too much tire spin then. Im hopeing for 13s at the Bug-In (got my helmet yesterday)

K04-001 W/ nuespeed inlet. N75J, 007 DV, 4 bar FPR. Lightweight flywheel. VR6 clutch, EIP dog bone tranny mount, Wettuaure chip 22psi till about 4400 rpm.  I think thats it!  Oh an open air filter, no heat shield!  1 step cooler plugs, stock IC with inner fender cut out for more air.  Thats it.

I just thought it would yeild more.

learn how to launch and you can ryan.

with those mods you should be well into the 14's id think. I ran a 14.2 with apr race, 3" dp, intake, motormounts, and a forge on stock bald ass tires(i pulled a 2.1 60') Getting good times in a 1.8t is all about the launch and it takes time to perfect. you wanna be around 2.1-2.2's with street tires.

The launch was killing me and the damn wait for 2nd gear.  Thats a full second that I wait for it to go in.  Then I have to spool back up.

That Evo I think he could do a little better.  He was haveing prob going into 2nd also.  + I think he could get his launch better. He was sub 2's on his 60ft.  I watch him and it did not seem like he was really launching that hard.

So I put my Stock chip back in last night.  The Wett 1.3 bar chip is acting real funny. I don't like it.  So I'll run the stock one for another day then I 'll throw my K04 1.1 Bar chip back in and have that happy feeling all over again!
I was running the BFg's 205-50-15's.  So I think I will run the 16's next time.  I should gain some top speed.  Maybe even a little more off the line traction.  Ah who the hell knows? :sly:

I know, I know, that whole graduation thing, as well as lack of funds kind of got in the way of me doing more of that.

No way I can get drags now, with my brakes.  Maybe I need to start autocrossing and give up the strip-life.
