ya, definetly saying my thanks to the GOD for not killing me today.
but josh is right, here's what happened.
i was using these things called conversion bolts for the car since the wheels were 12mm and the car's hub has 14mm holes. So these conversion bolts allow you to use a stud that would convert the size without having to drill the wheel. sweet, right?
it was sweet, up until not too long ago when the threads started stripping. the nuts had come and off one too many times and wouldn't tighten properly. So yesterday, after repainting the calipers, i noticed that one on each wheel wouldn't tighten, so i was running on four nuts out of five. i figured, it's ok, i just need to bump up my timing for refinishing/redrilling my wheels.
I get out of the pump, hear a strange knockin sound. check the wheels and the passenger front is missing two nuts with a third about to come loose. i'm like, ****, and i immediately try to move the car 10 feet away so i can switch in my spare wheel. i get 5 feet and the wheel pops off.
Chris helped me out a lot throughout this whole ordeal, even telling me last night not to go to the g2g...which is something i should have listened to, especially since i've listened to everything else he's said to me and never led me wrong.
