http://www.afterdawn.com/software/alternative_platforms/mac_software/dvd2onex.cfm

there isn't an equivalent freeware program out there and I dunno how well this one works and macrovision is forever on the rise and harder to decrypt so not sure if you want to invest the money but at least there is something out there if you want to give it a try... I think in the long run you'd be better off with buying a barebones windows sytem though for this kind of project

With as cheap as some of the pre-boxed  Windows computers are, it is a good alternative.

eh i'll just pony up and pay the $100 and get the roxio toast program which has the ifo editer.  nothing wrongs with macs...  and as i said before dano i'm a tried and true pc user but my wife does 99% of her design work on a mac and the only thing i really use a computer for is to surf the web.... so we got a bad ass mac.

sounds like a plan was just trying to see what I could find for you.. the only thing I forewarn you of is the macrovision upgrades on newer DVD's and going with a paid program it will become useless if not already for some of the newer DVD's

not for something like that they may have some, but doubtful in regards to defeating macrovision, they would release a newer version and the same thing will happen again... If there is anything you want/ need that you can't do Nate let me know and I will try and hook you up
