Well, then I'll just repost the pictures and verbage on this thread, and if you can delete the old thread, that would be awesome.
SO here we go.
Once upon a time, there was a sunny Saturday morning in Colorado. A phone alerts it's owner of a strange txt message. And then...
....it was on!
Well, we had time, so we made things happen. James (719mkv) came by today to see how far we would get on his cage.

First a picture of the subject.

Then it was measurement time. To keep us from getting run over, we moved the operation to the lawn, or at least what winter has done to it.

The first bend attempt on the main hoop was pretty good at the sides.

But I miss-read a measurement "39" as "31" so it was a little...well.
..narrow.

Bend attempt two. With some instruction, James jumped right in.

Cool angle shot..

...I have a JD(squared) model 4 full hydraulic bender, in case you're wondering.
Second attempt was better, definately wide enough. But still....wasn't perfect. Strike two.

Third attempt we chucked the computers ideas, and did it old school. Ended up changing up a few measurements. Tweaked the angles.

PRESTO!
Without the headliner we tucked the bar all the way to the roof supports. James held the bar up while I marked the trim mark so that it lands on the rocker.

To make sure the bar was even across the top, we used some spring perches to hold it off the roof. Worked well.

With the trim cut done, it landed perfectly on the rocker. Of course, I built the cage a tiny bit wide ~ which is why you see the ratchet strap in pictures. This way, when you release the strap, it holds itself in.

But the height is perfect, its tight and AWAY from James' head. Smokin.
