Stay tuned for more details on go-kart racing and events happening. The downside is there will be no autocross and no slow drags, but the event will be a blast for all. We will have vendors on site, and some of our local Denver shops.

Free. Only thing you'll have to pay for is your gas, your food, and if you want to race the go-karts (I'm springing for one myself).

Looking forward to seeing you all there. Go karting is $30 for the first race and $25 for each race after. These aren't your typical put-put honda go-karts either.

There is also a lounge area with vending machines and a pool table, as well as the Atrium area to get shade from the sun. Im planning on racing also, so if you guys end up doing a few races, let me know when you will be ready to challenge a true pro.

The showing is 100% free. There will be shirts, and food for sale as well as shops out to show you what they can offer.

Something to that effect. Not something the show would be able to support paying for at this point.

It would be unlimited racing that way, but what Los said is right on.

However, I have been hearing that since the show is free, people are planning to race go-karts, including myself!

If you happen to do it there again next year I am betting you could front that and easily make it back (plus some) by setting up a tournament bracket or "rivalry" matches. Just a thought....

The venue was a nice change. The rate is $1400 per hour, with a minimum of 4 hours. That would be doable with more sponsor involvement and charging for showing. We would just be back to all the additional overhead like we had at the track.

I think you missed where I was going with that. You charge money for those who want to do these special events to recoup some of that loot. I dunno... maybe I am too far out of touch with things to know what I am talking about (very likely). Either way it looks like you guys did a fine job.

When are you going to lock in a date/ location for next year so I can crank up the countdown again?

Thanks, I think it went well. We had 117 registered cars, but as I walked around and counted, we had over 175 cars in the "show" area.

charge people ahead of time....

people sign up online, don't charge anyone until the minimum required signups are met, once you have the minimum then charge all of them at once.

1400*4hours=$5600.00

100 people = 60.00 per person plan the event to provide max track time each.... endurance race style.
or 200 people at $30.00 each.... profit= $400 either way.

day of show $100 per person to sign up and play.

So, is there a site set up with photos of the event? I left for Afghanistan again in June so I missed the event again

but Gabe at Bluewater Performance was nice enough to bring my car and display it at their tent. I have yet to see any pics except a low-rez of my car. If anyone has some good pics I would love to seem them and pretend I am not out here for just a moment!!
