So I've been thinking about an S4 Latley. B5, B6, or possibley turning my B6 A4 into a mini S4 minus the V8. I've heard some pro's and con's of each but would like ya'lls opion.

I've always loved a K04'd B5 S4 2.7tt.

A B6 4 minus the V8 would be nothing, they are NA.. Unless you are just talking about body styling, which would be silly.

If you're in CO a BT 1.8t is going to be a lot more fun than the v8. I'd do it. Unless you're looking for stupid amounts of power, I'd stick with your B6. If you want to make some insane build, I'd drop the B6 and pick up a B5 S4. Thats just my opinion though, having owned a 2.7tt and currently driving a 1.8t.

Pro's and cons. A B5 will more than likely be a maintenance hog that will cost you. It'a a very upgradable car, but those upgrades will cost you. That said, it was worth it when I saw my 60 year old father giggle for the first time in his life when I let him drive my stage 3.

Other that that... if you want to make your Audi look like an S4, just buy a damn S4.

Having owned a B5 S4, all i can say is you better keep a couple grand in a "audi repair fund" checking account that you dont touch.

That being said, if you have the money and time/energy/patience, a stage 3 B5 S4 is scary fast. Like kick you in the chest, scary fast.

wait where did this thread go? lol I love the sound of the UR's, but after chillin with Matt and seeing how easily the 2.7t's are bumped up just amazes me.

The only cool thing about the v8 one is the sound. Thats about it.
