if it has twin 2barrels, also check the throttle linkage is working properly.

and you will have to do both carbs at the same time when you do the adjustments.

Yeah, the tips need to go. The PO put dual glasspacks on it, and it sounds pretty cool actually (kinda like a WWII fighter), but I don't know if I am going to keep them.
