Traded the Cobra for the Jetta yesterday....
A buddy of mine built it, but 6 other friends of ours have owned it, over the last 15 years. My very close friend, Frank was the original owner out of our group of friends, and as a matter of fact, the first time I talked to Frank was checking on him to see if he was OK, after he rear-ended a truck.... in this car.

Bruce (the latest owner) has invested over $30K into this car over the last 6 years. The paint is all brand new factory paint... wrap your head around that for a minute... and the exterior trim is also all brand new OEM VW. Interior was completely gone through and the VR swap was done proper, by Induktion Motorsport in MD. Bruce went with the largest cams he could put in a stock head, without changing the lifters, and between the 276 ams, and the 2.5" tig welded, straight piped exhaust, the car sounds very badass.... Alot of muscle car heads even like and respect the car, Bruce's dad being one of them....
The wheels are brand new, 16 x 9 Schmidt Modernline 3 piece wheels, and the car is sitting on PSS9 coilovers.
If you ever come out to Maryland, and get a chance to meet Bruce, you MIGHT be able to grasp his obsessive compulsive nature.
He already has wild ideas for the Cobra running throgh his head...
Oh yeah.... there is also a brand new big valve head sitting on the work bench getting ready for installation.
