Sooo Getting out of the Army on the 16th, would like to start working right away. Need rent and BT monies. If you are serious about work let me know i can send a resume. I can also do side jobs (as Brandon says, im a performance mechanic) lol.

collections and/or customer service work is hiring. (call center for credit cards and investment banks etc)

check out USAA's website, heard they were hiring.

troweprice, tmobile, progressive and other call centers are normally hiring...not horrid work and norm pay 10-15/hour DOE and tenure, etc. i would suggest full-time college via voc-rehab and look for a government student job/intern position.

I'm a Maintenance Inspecter for the Army reserve and make pretty good money althou i will be leaving the Gov to work for Union Pacific.....

just an idea, but i know that theyre always looking for bus drivers at the bases over here. i think they do 6 and 12 month contracts. not sure if it would really be the kind of thing youd be interested in, but its easy ass work, and my understanding is that the pay is pretty decent (50k ish)

it may be more. and even if you swing a gig at camp cupcake (al udeid), its still tax free. im not sure the channels you have to go through to get the job. i do know that they have a really easy job. for example, we get the same driver from when they pick us up at billeting until they drop us of at the plane. normal time line for them would be:

pick up at billeting.
drive to ops squadron.
sit and wait while crew goes through mission planning/briefings (45 min)
drive to dfac, drop off crew
pick up crew on the other side of customs/immigrations
drop off at aircraft.

sounds easy, right? it is! and, one crew run like this usually takes up about 2 hours. rinse and repeat 4 more times, and thats your work day. i couldnt think of an easier way to make that kinda money. kinda making me want to look into the gig for myself.

Any CDL needed? Whats the age requirement? If your able to join the army at 18 you shoukd be able to drive soldiers around! Id drive a bus!!

to the best of my knowledge, probably no CDL required. just the ability to drive stick. the crew buses and base trans buses are 20 pax hyundai bus/van thingys. and as far as age requirements, no clue. id check out usajobs.com to see if you can find any more info.
