Sorry for bringing up a dead topic.

The warranty issues between myself and Tynan's VW was a miscommunicati on between me, the service manger and the regional warranty manager. It has been laid to rest after all the facts have been put on the table.

As far as me and Emich goes, I have talked to Fred many of times since the "bug-in" incident. We talked about a future together and everything was moving forward. However, my boss at Tynan's was working at Lakewood Ford and asked me to come and work for him. So, I decided to do that and have succeeded here. Not to worry, I have been considering returning to VW in the near future!! The new Fords are nice, just missing the refinement of the German cars.

None of the above dictated anything about not having Oct'Dubber Fest in 2010. I had several offers from locations that wanted to host this event. The fact of the matter is that by the time I figured out what the plan was, it was too late and I could not get the ball rolling in time.

Finally, if I offended anyone because of my free spirit, willingness to always have as much fun as I can and to keep people safe, I am deeply sorry. I did start MetroDubs.com in July of 2005, went public in September of 2005. Since then we have always been open to all VW & Audi enthusiasts, supporting friends and family, local shops, local shows and even some great nation shows. You can not deny that MetroDubs has put on some of the best yearly events over the past 5 years. Yes MetroDubs is an LLC. the reason for this is to simply give the EIN to sponsors that donate items for our events. The products that MD has ever sold were at cost and ZERO profit for the club, or even me. I have put my hard earned money, sweat and tears into every aspect of MD and I love every minute of it, however stressful and unrewarding. But then again, I never did this to be rewarded or patted on the back or to have any fame. That is why I never say I am "owner" "president" or what ever to any public enthusiasts. I do claim my title when I am talking to potential sponsors or companies that I feel MD and the community would prosper from. With that said, I can assure you there is zero truth that I am keeping any money that the club generates. Any funds are always put forward to stickers, shirts, index cards, water and drinks at events, show sponsorships or web site costs; etc.

I know that I will never please everyone, and I never expect to be best friends with anyone. I do have some great relationships with many in E719, RMCB5 and other clubs in the area, and even beyond. I will always continue to support E719 and DATR, Bug-in and VWOTG. The shows that local clubs and companies produce are the continuance of the great foundations that the clubs and enthusiasts have started. I love shows, and will go to as many as I can!! Look for the glitter, look for the tents, look for more joint events like WusteRallye. We also will be driving down to Colorado Springs in the spring to meet up and hang out at your GTG's. Just because I have always thought of E719, my second home. ;-)

Thank you everyone for reading this. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please PM me or email me. baker @ metrodubs.com

Finally, look for a better, bigger and more improved Okt'Dubber Fest in 2011. ;-)

My name is Todd, and i approve this message.

Chad,

I am sorry your friend is giving you false information. I am sure if he was in the meeting between the managers and myself, or was included in the phone calls that the GM and I had, he would have told you the same that I just did.

Secondly, I am sorry that you are getting slack on vortex about your hand picked members club. Seems that running a club with all the rejects of the area is going well for you.

Now please stay out of my thread.

Respectfully,
Jon Baker

My club's bigger than yours.  ;D People can say bad things about all clubs in the Colorado area. If you have anything to say about E719 please feel free to voice it here or on your sites, but don't go bashing each other here. Save it for your forums.

Baker had some shit go on with a VW dealership. If it's resolved, great! If not, who cares? Doesn't affect me or you one bit, only Baker. Stirring up shit that isn't yours generally nets you the title of drama queen.

thank you. And you are 100% correct. I should not do here what I do not / would not do on MetroDubs.

If you have anything to say about E719 please feel free to voice it here

Correction....

PM me with your negativity, and I'll be sure to kick you off the site personally...

One of my biggest complaints 5 years ago was from the drama that people stirred up over FUCKING CLUB BULLSHIT.

We are all VW/Audi enthusiasts, right???

If you don't like Peter or Paul because they fucked that slut girlfriend of yours in the alley at a gtg, then fine.... don't log into their sites....

Do not however bring the internet tough guy syndrome here.

Well.... bring it and shit talk, but be prepared to do it in person as well.

Baker.... you know man.... I respect you for who you are and the things you did to make the CO vw scene a better place when I lived there. You also know you have a place to stay in Maryland. (The real fucking MD bitch)  ;D I was just trying to clear the air with any misinformation that gets spread on the rumor-mill that is vortex....

Chad... I don't know you, but I'd probably be venturing to say you were following in the footsteps of Selander and Melander.... Both great guys IMO, but with personal agendas.... Or so I have noticed through this magical box called the internet.

Either way... talk shit to each other.... it's funny.... but dont try to drag the guys in Colorado Springs into the Denver drama.

Thanks!

I love support that clubs bring to the scene... but jesus christ! Why is there so much Drama??

Anyhow Baker, Im glad the dealership stuff panned out for you, you need to just focus on getting that Jetta a little quicker ;)

SO back the original topic, Im sure if you guys talk to one of the local COS VW dealers, they will be interested in helping to host the VW BBQ. Why just limit it to people that chat on forums?  I say make it free but bring more people into it.  You never know when you will pick up more potential enthusiasts or even people who HAD a negative vibe from 719 who might like the crowd now?

Anyway... I look forward to the second half of show season in 2011 and I hope we are able to get a drive to MD down for that "other" VW show they have up there.

LOL I wasnt starting any drama..

Im im just going to hold my tongue on that rejects comment Baker cause i believe all of my banned members are the only 3 active members md has. thats all im saying and im not posting again in this thread because i respect e719 and their group. People will never 100% get along and thats a part of life but I hope someday all of us can get together and have a good time, this isnt compton so we dont need a "gang war" and i never bashed you or your site so i dont understand why im being attacked
