Next to the nicely painted red aircooled pickup thing is what looks like a white bug drag-racer with some interesting bodywork and front end. Anyone got more pics of that, without the giant dude blocking the whole front end?

Also, is that a leather hood? With beads or something under the leather? Sorry, but that's just kinda retarded. The fanblades are nice tho. The leather engine cover and the car with the suede interior looks nice but that R32 with the super buttery leather interior kinda makes me wonder why the guy just didn't by an M5 or something with the money he spent.

Oh, and the jetta/pointer pickup truck made Jalopnik's Nice Price or Crackpipe feature with a mention of DATR (no hotlink though) on Friday. It's $16k was soundly voted as crackpipe.

The white AC car was a turbo 1900cc? He was running a t3/t4 with a carb on the intake side of the turbo. Pretty sweet setup, he said it melts exhaust valves out of clearance and thats the only issue they have

Yeah, that dude with the Pointer doesn't want to sell it, really. I talked to him over 2 years ago and was serious, but not at that price.

That 'R32' interior - that's a Mk2. He did it because he likes VWs. Its why we all do it.

the people I talked to/interacted with were happy.... even working, I had a fucking blast

I think a big part being due the pre-show camping, anyone that wussed out on camping needs to go next year

Interesting. Hoping to come across a pic of the front end, looks pretty heavily worked. Also curious why the sheet metal curves under the front of the doors.

Thats my buddy TIMMAHHH. After he rolled it he focused on making it more like a raked funny car with a huge wing to I guess increase downforce. Here is the rebuild thread for the car. built 100% in his garage. I crew for him. when I am not racing my own stuff.
