I bought brand new front and rear big bumps from the dealer last year. Give it a try to keep it OEM if possible. Also, if you are getting anal, you should look at all your GTI trim/emblems and try ordering any that are showing age. They are getting hard to find.

I'd use Kiwi Leather shoe dye if you are just going to replace the bumper. It is cheap and lasts for several months. It comes in a bottle with an applicator sponge on top. I found it in the shoe section of Wal-mart.
