My work is hiring delivery drivers. He's there every day except Wednesdays. It's a pretty laid back place and the pay's not bad ($5.50/hr starting plus tips and mileage compensation of $1 per run).

i used to make 150-300 per 4hour shift on fri/sat evenings, and 100-200/4hour shift the rest of the week, when i delivered for louies....

We don't do near the volume your store did. I've been walking out recently with $40 in my pocket for a day shift. Considering I spend most of the day BSing with my boss that's not bad. Evenings are better, but not astronomically so. You won't get rich, but it's easy work and puts a little cash in your pocket.

I'd say that if you could work 3-4 shifts a week that would work. He just hired someone with evening only availability so I think he's looking primarily for someone( or multiple someones) with daytime availability. Stop in and talk with Bob sometime and find out.

Whats considered daytime availability?  I wouldn't be able to work sooner than 4:00 pm most of the week.  I already work every other Saturday until 11. 
How long is a shift considered? 8 hrs? 4 hrs?

The day shift starts at 11 am and evening shifts start at 5-6 pm (depending on projected need for people and people's availability). The shifts will either end at 5pm, after the dinner rush, between the dinner rush and close, or closing time which is 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Shifts can be as short as ~2 hours and as long as an open to close. On average probably 2-5 hours for evening people and is dependent on your "out" time (Rush, Late, or Closer).

Carlos, no problem. I don't know how long he'll be looking for people, but you can always stop in. Bob's also really good on working with people's schedule.

I DON'T want to live in Aurora, but with bills and other monthly payments, I won't be able to afford living too far away from buckley afb on guard pay (what I'm planning everything for, in case I don't get a job).  It's so much easier on AD when you know you're biweekly paycheck and don't have to figure anything out.  This is only a temporary solution til I go to the 'stan next spring.  After that I'll be looking for a house, likely in the Castle Rock area (not exactly, but around there to cut the distance between the springs and denver).

I would, but I can't afford it.  They want my pay stubs, and with my AD pay stubs they think I make a lot and therefore jack up my monthly rent, but if I show them my NG stubs, then I don't make enough to pay the rent at all.  What ever happened to, "I have cash in hand, give me what I want."  Everything is so built around financing these days, that you don't even get a deal if you offer cash.  Your cash is no good unless you have good credit and proof on a pay stub that you "can make enough to pay".  It pisses me off.
