Can you sell just a set of ballasts? I've got a 6000k kit, and I have issues of them not being very bright. Think new ballasts would help this?

new ballast won't make them brighter.... but you can step up to 55w ballast witch will make your lights 30% brighter!

think of it like this-- you have the same HID bulbs but, you are puttin' more juice to them! kinda like a bigger amp on your stereo-- more power = bulbs burn brighter, and hotter

a pair of new (THIN) 55w ballast are $50 each
they also carry a lifetime warranty

Gotcha. All of them are $80 or is there a price difference?  Also, what is the sealed beam conversion kit?

To do it right you'll need to retrofit projector lenses into your single round housings. You can just put the bulbs in your current housings like a lot of teens in hondas and rednecks in dodge trucks do, but you'll just blind on-coming traffic with only moderately better lighting for yourself. Honestly, you'll be better off just getting E-code headlights and running decent halogen bulbs.

the single rounds you have are sealed beam
you need to order new (autoPal) brand housing from me
they are a direct replacement... no modifying. and ARE D.O.T.
all my stuff has a LIFETIME WARRANTY
don't be fooled! not all DIY HID stuff is junk! guessing and checking with Ebay stuff is a huge mistake! trust me, you have no idea

Lifetime warranty or not, you still need proper housings to fit the bulbs in. Those autopal, or any reflector based housing for that matter, is not the proper type of housing for HID bulbs. Running those bulbs in reflector housings just turns you into one of those douchebags that blinds everyone in front of them. If you want to start making money by selling complete kits that are correct, start adding projector lenses into your bulb housings that you sell. Otherwise you're products are no better than any of the other ebay HID "kits" out there. Yes your parts might be better than most, but the final product ends up being the same.

I never did like crystal clears... the lack of a patterend glass allows for a much cleaner surface.... the cleaner surface is actually weaker and more susceptible to rock chips and breaks....

Juan had replaced the headlights on the VRT 2 times over in the year he owned it due to rock breakage...

Maybe, but projectors don't work with standard fluted lenses. The"ridges" screw up the beam pattern.

Smokestack-
you are 100% right.... but the fact of the matter is that most people are cheap azzes and they take the cheap way out
I sell the AutoPal lenses cuz they seem, to be the best I've ever came across... and the price is reasonable.
heck, even at $45 a pair.. people complain, and go to ebay instead
so... what can i do? I do offer the projectors at the ((SAME PRICE))..
its a shame but if people would adjust their light properly it would help us all out!

NOTE: if people flash their lights at you! don't be a DICK! adjust your lights down!

you cant adjust your lights down when there is no directional pattern for the light to be spread across... HID's belong in projector housings.

It's plain and simple... If you want HID's in your mkII with single rounds, then you need to find a set in a junkyard, and then retro-fit the projector housings to the light assembly. look on vortex.... it has been done, and they are not even close to $100 to buy....

Barry, did you get rid of the hid's in your mk3? I remember you doin something similar to this. I had projectors for my car for a while but never got around to putting them in. Then the person who had them, sold the fuckers so I lost motivation for it. Maybe I'll start over with my idea, but that remains to be seen since we are having some layoffs next month.
