Shell on N. Academy is gay.

I have a brand new AWE vent boost gauge that I was going to put in my A4. The gauge is made for a B6 A4. It has never been put in a car and has never been opened. The gauge is $250 from AWE Tuning. I will sell it for $225 and you won't have to pay for shipping. You can contact me at 719-963-5180. Thanks.
You can see pictures if you click on the urls below.

Is the gauge stuck at 30 in/hg?

Because if it is you might want to get it warrantied before selling it. Needs to sit at 0

No when you wire it up it will go to 0. When they ship them they are at 30 in Hg. Like I said it has never been in a car. I just got it from AWE a couple of days ago warranty. The company kinda screwed me over so I switched. They won't give me a refund but they will give me a new gauge its a really long and complicated story, but it will work once hooked up and set at zero when the car is turned off.

Its a mechanical gauge, the electrical is only for backlighting.

it will move off 30 when it starts reading your boost/vacuum i assure you of that, its a brand new gauge nothing can be wrong with it. Just because it is on zero right now doesnt mean its not going to work. The one I had in my last car came at zero and when I hooked it up it would go to zero when my car turned off. I know its mechanical but it should work.

mechanical gauges won't re-center when you apply electricity... because they are *mechanical*

We are all wrong the gauge is electrical. This is quotd right off AWE's site. "This kit includes a Delrin vent pod with UV stabilizer, 45mm electrical boost gauge, all electrical and tubing hookups, and a detailed install sheet." It is below the pictures. I am guessing that it will center due to the fact that it is electrical. The last gauge I had was a mechanical gauge. If you look on AWE and click on Audi 1.8T 02-05 and scroll to the vent gauge it should say they are now featuring an electrical gauge and this is brand new and it is an electrical gauge. I talked with Alex from AWE because my last gauge was returned because it didn't. He said that it shouldn't that the gauge when shipped sits on 30 in Hg because and it should 0 itself because it is electrical. Sorry for the confusion I hope he is right.

First off....   Try to proofread what you are typing before you hit the post button. You post has a few lines that make me want to kick my dog....

Second off... Take a picture of the back side of the gauge. If it has a barbed or threaded fitting for an air line, it is mechanical, and busted.

Sorry I think faster than I type sometimes. It has the fittings in the back for an elctronic gauge so it is definatly electronic. I just really hope that the gauge will 0 itself out when it is installed. As far as I know and based off what the guy on the phone from Awe said it should calibrate itself and return to 0 when not reading vacuum and boost.
