Looking to sell my 86 GTI....

Heres the good the bad the ugly lol

1986 Volkswagen GTI
1.8L 8v
5 speed (5th gear replaced with a rabbit deisel 5th)
260 cam
TT Exhaust
Recaro Sport Seats
New Headliner

Car has a lot of issues....Most are convenience rather than function but here they are
Speedo cable broke
No Heater
Rear passenger was hit....(hatch still closes and lights still work)
No rear winshield wiper
Driver window doesnt roll down (broken retainer inside door)
Small oil leak from the pan (wrether its the plug or gasket i dont know)
Needs Front passenger Wheel Bearing and Possibly CV
Needs front tires

Now i know that these cars are hard to come by anymore and i know whats wrong with it..... But the car was my daily driver for a year with 80%of these issues and she still runs strong.

The only reason im selling the car is because i let a friend of mine use it and he ended up getting a DUI, having the plates taken and i cannot afford to get the insurance, register it and let it sit in the parking lot.

Asking $500.00

Guys I'm really sorry..... I didn't mean to offend anyone. I was born a VW guy. I grew up helping my grandpa build bugs from the ground up. I bought my first VW when i was 15 and he helped me put it together. It was an 87 GTI. I have never looked back. I have owned nothing but VWs and I just really love them. They have personality where as most other cars just go. I posted it on here because i was tired of lame ass people showing up not caring and trying to get me to sell it for 100 bucks. I thought i would put it on here so that someone who is VW crazy as me could show the car love that i cant afford to right now. Originally i was going to make it into an autocross car. I have actually been to a few of your GTGs and everyone was pretty cool. I drive a 1992 GTI at the moment and I just wanted to be a part of a local VW club. Again I am really sorry for all this. I wasnt trying to treat this like craigslist, I was just trying to put it out there....

Those aren't Recaro seats. They're seats out of a GT golf, which is really just 8v GTI seats with pleather bits and different colors. Still, I have a soft spot for neglected piles of shit that need ~~some~~ seriousTLC. Good thing I'm broke, otherwise I'd have a very pissed off wife and a new money pit.

Hey thanks for posting the pics for me! I appreciate it, my camera is broken still so that helped me out a lot. I dont know now that I drove it again I may just make it an autocross car...... Anyone want to help me get it in shape? lol
