HA!  well, their website does list "Month to Month" as a service type... plus, great news, our school district has an agreement for service discount with Verizon.  I was given the phone number of a special contact with Verizon (he's out of the office so I'll have to call him in the morning), I might take you up on that offer Pete

You had a Helio Ocean on Verizon?  or an Ocean 2?  My coworker pointed out that "Ocean" isn't Verizon compatible, according to a Google search also...

You only need to sign a contract to receive discounted prices on new phones with Verizon. If you already have a phone you just do the month to month plan. They might charge setup fees to start a new account though.

check out cricket unlimited everything for 52.00 a month after taxes and there is a bunch of different plans. i have had cricket for damn near 2 years now never had a real problem with them. no contract no commitment its worth it i think.  i ended up with a 1000 dollar bill from sprint one month and said  fuck you im out.

hmmm.... Sprint bought Virgin (ao july 28th), our district has an agreement with Sprint... but I wonder if I can activate a Virgin/Helio on Sprint
