this is my thread for the rado. anything interesting i do to I'll put in here. i got a couple things today at the junkyard. Passat moonroof, and a brake caliper for the left front. also i went to the fabric store ( i know i sound gay for saying that) and got some new fabric for the headliner. it should turn out good. i also picked up some headliner adhesive and some emblem glue so i can put back on my VR6 emblem. so if anyone needs to put on some emblems lemme know. also so i can drive my car again i got all 4 rotors and now i just need some pads. then i can get it on the road again. I'll be uploading pics of how i do the headliner soon.

cool dude. definitely post headliner pics. ive thought about doing mine as well, and want to see how yours comes out.

Just talk to dude from Union1609, he did his headliner, a,b,c pillars. Oh and trunk

ok so i did a whole bunch tonight. drop all the pillar pieces, dropped the headliner and its already wrapped just waiting for it to dry. it takes a whole 24 hours then I'll cut the excess off. dropped the old sunroof then put in the new passat glass moon roof just to find out the track is broken so im having my friend jon exchange it for another one we found while im at work tomorrow. hopefully the next one works. when it was in there it looked pretty awesome i just didnt happen to take any pics of it. well here is all the pics for the night. more to come throughout the week though.

so i have some ideas forthe interior and it requires someone who could help me put together a half cage for the rado...someone who might be decent at welding and with a pipe bender. i am on a budget so id like to do this as cheap as possible. letting the headliner dry for a little longer just to be sure. got another moon roof but it only moves up and down in stead of front to back so im going pack to UPAP tomorrow to go pull another one. luckily they have like 10 jettas and passats with moonroofs so i can get a whole bunch. tomorrow I'll be taking it down to kyle (951boostmoore) at german motorcraft to have him help me get my brake mount off. and then i should be good on brakes then i can really start on some other crap. i have some ideas for the hood but im not gonna post it til i do it cause i know people will hate it. hopfully I'll have some time to take pics of the moon roof and hopefully the finished headliner. and im gonna scrub the interior good to clean all the grease and dirt and whatnot from me working on my car all the time and destorying the interior. should turn out pretty nice by the end of the week. off to bed gonna get an early start tomrrow morning then gonna drink all night for my birthday. goodnight

i wanna do just a half cage ..like a roll bar just behind the front seats then back to the strut towers and i want a bar to mount a harness to

You got a mandrel bender? If you don't, you can always talk to Damien (snoopy on the boards) about making you something. Unless he sold off all of his stuff since I worked for him he has all of the tools and know how to do it and he might even cut you a good price.

As far as the seats, My brother had a Euro BMW 323 with a half cage. Done right, you can keep the rear seats.

i need some help asap.. just got done with the brakes and i was pumping them and they would hold pressure for like 5 seconds then the pedal would go back to the floor. if anyone can help me please do i need this car on the road again!!!...

if you replaced a caliper, or 4. It's going to take a lot of time and fluid. Make sure you do it right. Breaks are the only thing keeping you from going 100 to dead..

If it holds pressure for a few seconds and then goes down you have a leak somewhere. Check your brake line fittings to make sure they either aren't cross threaded or too loose. Also make sure the calipers aren't leaking any brake fluid.

i think my next thing will hopfully be coilovers as soon as i can get the cash. my last check was like barely 300 bucks so i cant get em. maybe I'll do the candy dispencer. with some like m&ms or something...
