So according to officer A of the colorado springs police, the city is getting alot of complaints of loud exhaust from "racers" on gog, so they pull everyone with a slightly noisy exhaust over to give warning.

I say, it may not seem like it maam but my exhaust is stock. She says wow, well if it is youll have to take it as is but were just letting you know that that is what is going on.

just so you know, a riced mitsubishi came by, made my exhaust (even gettin on it at a light with officer behind me) sound quiet.... and so the officer told me she would have loved to get him....prolly made the punishment a bit easier on me

They do save lives... until the biker does over 25mph then they're just annoying everyone behind them.

I still think people in dodge diesels take the cake though.

theres alot of retiree communities up here....i f&*&ing hate it....

i dont speed, so i dont care, but it is also end of the month...and we all know that the judicial system gets on the rag around now...

they are cracking down because the Hub is up that way and everyone gets on it going up that hill and back down that hill when they leave way late at night that neighborhood is right there next to the Hub. So thats most likely why.

Oh, they pull over and ticket loud bikes. The ticket can be easily objected to, as it isn't a measured dB value that is over the limit, etc. The city cops spout off this mantra "anything other than stock is illegal" but obviously that's false, or there would be no exhaust shops in business.

So did you get a ticket or just a warning. If you got a ticket, that is complete BS if that is your stock exhaust.

Them even pulling you over because it sounds loud is BS. Do they train their cops to have built in decibal meters? What if they pull you over, you have a few kilos of coke in the front seat, come to find out during prosecution your exhaust is perfectly legal. Now they lost the probable cause to pull you over and lose out on the coke. LOL just saying.

I don't think they can legally pull you over for the exhaust. I might have to look that up.

That's shitty Todd, back when I lived in NH and had my B5 with the exhaust I decided to actually research the laws after getting pulled over for it. Turns out, the law had recently been repealed and modified exhausts were no longer illegal. I printed the actual bill out, kept it in my glove box and when I got pulled over I would show the cop what the law really says. Most of them had no idea it had changed.
