96 Mk3 Gti VR6 -My first Mk3

Got this 1996 MK3 VR6 sequoia green for daily duties.

145K miles
Chains/clutch done at 100k
Sequoia green
Black leather
chipped
stainless brake lines w/painted calipers
K&N drop in filter
Magnaflow exhaust
Stiff Dropzone cupkit( I'm not a fan of ebay cupkits but got this with the car and it's stiff as the shine suspension and rides well- but don't worry whe's on borrowed time).

Take that engine cover off and polish the whole manny Oliver.
Also, Drill some holes in that air box and throw a k&N in there. You will love the sound till the blower apperati gets strapped on. If you want I have one w/ holes drilled and a k&n filter that I can sell ya. Let me know.

I'll polish the center later, going to  hunt a metal valve cover in the local yard. The air box has a k&n panel filter and I still have the old k&n cone filter from my Corrado but I'm not sure I want to put it in there. The  clone manifold definitely made a difference and I feel that I don't have to put in a cone filter. 

Definitely V1 later down the road but not this year.

Oh where do I drill the holes? bottom of the box?, on my old 1.8t I cut hald of the bottom of the airbox

Yeah... there is a hole where the silencer plugs in... swiss-cheese that panel, or do like me, and just cut it out completely....

I love cutting stuff  :canadian:, man since I bought a buff wheel for my desk grinder I've been looking around for parts to polish lol..

I guess something like this, it's a mk2 but you get the idea. No worries when you pop the hood

And no sales pitch, I was trying to help him out. Besides its just layin around my house.

Guess the iPhone didn't recognize VORTECH... it corrected it so shut it.
However i bought my Vortech on Vortex so I can call it whatever I want.  I can call it a Barry since it just blows a bunch of hot air and makes alot of squeaky noises.  Or what that be a Matt? LOL

so wtf is sai incorrect flow detected?... the air vacuum solenoid that feeds to the combi valve is working, sai pump working, relay is ok, carbon canister frequency valve clicks ok... Looks like I need to pull out the combi valve and check the hose and valve itself: FUCK and we know it's a pain in the ass  :banghead:

my fuel gauge also reads 3/4 when i fill it up to full... something about the evap?

Easy fix Oli - put a 42DD SAI delete plug in, and get put a C2 chip in the gets rid of the CEL

LOL I'm gonna sound like a travelin salesman here but I happen to have a whole sai system I put up for sale on the tex. If you need it let me know.  As far as the fuel thing, could be your in tank sensor. Check you connections and your evap hoses and stuff. If not, could be the cluster too I guess

ok readiness all pass... no cel on the gauge cluster actually but thru vagcom there's a fault... I switch the vacuum supply from the manifold to the solenoid that sends signal to the combi valve... it was put on reverse anyway I'll try to smog it and worry about it latter..

How am I gonna sell it if I dont know where it is?  Probably not even worth my time to sell it. 
Ive been cleaning and packing shit up myself to get stuff ready to move. Probably lookin at moving out in a month or 2 and renting the whole damn house.
