Hey. The season is upon us. I'm looking for some casual golfing buddies to hit up Eisenhower golf course on the Academy once or twice a week. I pretty much suck at golf but enjoy it none-the-less. Brandon golfs too and would probably come.

how about drunk mini golfing? thats at least entertaining. and you dont want to golf on the academy. they probably wouldnt let you carry a cooler full of beer on your golf cart.

Anyway,
NOT mini-golf. Regular golf. And the Academy doesn't check your golf bag so you can bring as much beer as you can fit in there. There's also a cart that drives around and sells beer just in case you run out.

I definitely got the golf cart on 3 wheels doing some aggressive cornering!

I can pretty much go any day of the week. I'm done with class everyday at 2:30pm so I can tee off anytime after ~3:15 or so. So if anyone has a specific day they want to plan for, shoot me a PM and as long as I don't have a crap-load of homework, I'm in.

I'm planning on going tomorrow afternoon. It's pretty slow right now so you don't really need a tee-time, you can pretty much show up. If anyone wants to go tomorrow at around 4:30pm-ish to play 9, shoot me a PM. You might want to call the club to see how much it is though. Not sure on prices for civilians or anything. It's only $6 for me in the afternoons so I can't imagine it would cost too much for anyone else. It's Eisenhower golf club at the Air Force Academy.

I'm also down for golfing somewhere else with decent prices too.

how much does it cost to play?

my dad bought a new set of clubs and gave me his old ones (he says they are REALLY good and knowing him, they were the best of the best when he bought them) but i have only played 2 or 3 times, and am looking to start, but don't really have anyone to go with other than my dad who is rather busy all the time.

It costs me $6 in the afternoons as a cadet. I have no idea how much for anyone else. But since it's early in the season, they are really slow lately so you can probably haggle them a bit to play cheap. Otherwise, the driving range is like $3 for a bucket of balls.

Our rate is incredibly discounted Wayne. Doubt you can haggle, but you do pay less for twilight rate later in the afternoon.

Here are the rates at Eisenhower:

9 Holes 18 Holes

E1-E4/Cadets $ 9.00    $ 14.00
E5 & Above    $ 16.00    $ 25.00
DoD Civilian    $ 16.00    $ 25.00
Guest      $ 40.00    $ 60.00
Family Guest $ 35.00    $ 45.00

So, a civilian guest playing 9 is $40, but probably around $30 if it is twilight.
