I am FROM california..

yes it is not a great place..LA at least..but i still love my LAkers...

Cali is expensive..pol luted..but there are NICE areas there...san diego..san fran...montere y..all places that are very beautiful indeed..

And then there is Lake Tahoe....a lot like here.

I love colorado..dont get me wrong...
but lets not badmouth cali!

I can help too man. Ive worked on MKIV suspension plenty of times. We can have the back done in 30 minutes tops. The front will take a little longer unless you know someone who has the Strut spreading tool. Its how the strut attaches to the spindle. Otherwise a chisel will do.

I don't have the spreader tool and I'm not going to spend the money to get it. I think we can figure out a way to spread em. I'll let you all know when they come in. I also got new upper strut mounts and bearings.

This will be my first MKIV suspension, Ive worked on MKIII before.

autozone/checkers have loaner tools. Some you put like a 5-30 dollar deposit. Doesnt mater if you break it, just so they get the tool back. and remember to post the picks.

The tool loaner programs usually make you pay the full price for the tool, and you get a full refund if you return it within 7 days.

I've always used one of my really fat flathead screwdrivers to spread the strut clamp.

don't forget to disconnect the vss connector before you attempt to drop the spindle off the strut or it'll rip the wires right out. ask me how i know.

Once they get here. They shipped out today from AMI Motorsports in Canada. They said 3-5 business days. So earliest I'll get them is Friday.....lat est Tuesday of next week. And then we can plan from there.

I will definitely keep that in mind. Like i said this will be my first MKIV suspension job.

autozone you can bring them back whenever you want!!!!!!! I brought back my rear brake tool like a month after I borrowed it.
