I like eyelids, depending on the car (have them on my GTI) but I dunno about them on a beetle. I'd google to get example pics so you can see what they look like before you buy.

Something wrong with the headlights you got? I'd say upgrade them to OEM projectors if you do anything. Throw in a joey mod to spice things up too. Besides, the wiring in the lights looks chinzy.

You bought a New Beetle. Seeing how that was the only successful market the NB found, you can't bitch about it being a chick's car . To give it a more masculine feel: shave it and slam it. Slapping on cheap ebay lights just makes you look gayer. If you put forth the work to make it look like you want it to, people will see it. If all you do is "accessorize" and swap out parts like a Honda on APC crack, people will see that too.

yeah that was my plans i found a front bumper thats the rsi beetle bumper minus the wide ness(+1.5") looks factory and i do plan on slamming it. now shaving it.. i have no idea to do it properly. i know you take the badges off but. never did that.

It involves body work. You take off anything that is "extra" (eg badges, wipers, spoilers, lights, door handles, antennas, etc.) and fill any holes/seems in body panels by welding them or with body filler. All of this is followed by a respray of the worked over parts. I'm not sure what all is on the hatch or hood of the NB to be shaved, but try picking up some spare body panels to shave before attaching anything that is a more permanent part of your car. Doesn't matter what color or if it has some dings, you're doing body work already and can fix imperfections before you paint it. It's very satisfying when you take your time and do it right, but can be frustrating at times.

Disconnect the eyebrows or make them turn signals and yeah, that wouldn't be bad. I like the look in that car, but maybe that's because they remind me of the older WRX "frog eye" headlights.

And an RSI kit would definitely make it more manly. And cool!

rule number one dont EVER buy headlights on Ebay.....

unless they are oem.....

READ: waterspots, condensation.. etc etc.

rule number two...dont ever buy anything from a user that has the words RACER, GT, TYPE S, or anything like that in their name.

Trust me on that one.

Dont do headlights on a bug in my opinion, spend your money elsewhere..... better wheels suspension, struts, shocks...etc

yeah that was my plan i found the 32 rims for 750 for 16s 780 for 17s and 909 for 18s and thats with all 4 i also found drop springs i am tryin to go about 1.5 i found a few but most where 2"

Skip the springs and go with coilovers. Infact, take that money you were going to dump into R32 (called Aristos, and you can usually pick up a used set fairly cheap) reproductions and put those towards a set of decent coilovers (K1s or FKs). The amount of money you'll spend on springs and struts/shocks will be the price of cheap coilovers. If you're just planning on running 1.5-2" drop springs on stock shocks you may as well save some bucks and cut your existing springs. They'll both end up blowing your stock shocks and, as a result, give you shitty road manners.

Here's a refinished set of Aristos with tires for $1000, and that was the most expensive set I found

BUT its fom HONG KONG and looks nice

Smart move on not geting these headlights, there are much better mods you can do.

I don't see why not as long as you don't paint the reflector parts. Even though they have a different design, they're built in the same way. I think it would look a bit funny since NB headlights already stick out like sore thumbs on the fenders, and a joey mod might exaggerate it. It could improve it too. If they were color matched it might help clean up the looks.
