That's amazing. I've always said I am not a salesguy personality and I hate selling, but I would love to work at a place like that because I would quickly become the only salesguy that people would deal with. No competition, hooray!

A former roommate has the 2.5 impreza and it's a pretty nice car. Subies seem like cars for people who consider cars simply methods of transportation . Looking at them that way, it's easy to see why CO has a zillion of them. I drove the impreza once (only awd car I've ever driven) and I thought power was ok but I hated that every time I took my foot off the gas I jerked forward in the seat from it slowing so much. Even accelerating the awd system felt like this giant heavy lump that the motor was trying to power through. Like constantly driving through mud.

I think the Legacy GT Anniversary Edition is stunning tho.

so Jess and I talked Yesterday, and i think we are going to send the Sales manager and Arthur a card with a picturs of our brand new car..... inside say

"THANKS, BUT WE REALLY DID NOT WANT A SUBARU, we got this from McDonald VW the same day, you gave us the Subaru run-around. Next time when your customer says they are here to buy a VW, listen to them. good day! and good luck"

can i report this kind of sales behavior to VWoA?

Can't hurt. Send it to the CEO of VWoA and see what happens. I'm sure he'll be pleased that one of his dealerships is pushing another product onto his customers.  ;D While you're at it, send one to Gunner. He's the only reason his dealership even has VWs, although at this point he may as well sell the VW dealership for all the good it's doing him. I think I'd rather buy through Phil Long than deal with Hueberger.

Here's some people to contact.  ;D

Dealerships are a face to their product, so they better give at least one shit. If no one wants to deal with the dealerships that sell their product, no person is going to buy their product.

Call VWOA yourself if you don't believe me.  I've done it before and that's basically the response I got.

I think I've seen writeups to the effect that VWoA doesn't seem to care about the sales side of dealerships, but seem to care when its a "service" issue.

I agree Heuberger is crap, but if you ever go back ask for Mark McClanahahn (sp). He's an old, retired Marine that's worked there for ever. I've bought every VW I've ever owned from him. Last experiece, besides a $50 Xmas gift, was buying the 05 GTI. He knocked 5g's off the sticker price immediately, gave me $13k for my recently rearended 03' Passat 1.8 (fixed but still wrecked at one time and he knew it), then proceeded to give me $3.5K in VW loyalty discount. With what I owed on the Passat minus the trade value I walked with my brand new 05' for $12 and some change ($194/month).

Mark's a no nosense, he won't haggle but will get you as low as possible. If he can't get you what you want for what you want, he'll tell you straight up and tell you to call him next time you're looking for something!

I second talking to Mark - I bought both TDIs from him - he's a straight shooter.
