If you think going to prison for anything is a slap on the wrist Ed, you obviously havent been anywhere close to being in prison....

Nate never said slap her on the wrist and send her on her way... manslaughter still carries prison time the last time I checked....

no, he said she had suffered enough, and why waste time even putting her in jail OR on probation.... that would definitely be a slap on the wrist.

slap on the wrist?  okay, a murder charge is ludicrous.  so murder gets dropped in favor of manslaughter.  they plea it out because yes it was an accident and the chick doesn't see the inside of a jail and gets probation.  probation.  gotta check in with a p.o. and not break any other laws and not commit manslaughter again.  THIS WOULD BE A TOTAL WASTE OF ANY ONES TIME OR TAX PAYERS DOLLARS.  seriously, think about it.  isn't punishment meant to be corrective conditioning?  i guess putting her on probation or whatever will effectively teach this women to never ever make a mistake again.

point is is that the punishment should match the crime and provide effective means to prevent the crime from occuring again.

go ahead and be a douche bag and twist my words and make it seem like i'm saying don't prosecute people for shaking babies but look at the particular details of this particular situation.  use your fucking head.

murder by definition is the intentional killing of another human. the lady  did not intentionally put the kid in the frint then intentionally ram another car or wall

being a dumbass, who killed her own child through her retardedness, is not an intentional act. homicide without intent is called manslaughter, carries half the penalty of murder think 5-8 she is home ins 2.5-4 years and on probation for 10.

and BOT, im glad they are considering removing the ticket.

thanks... I was hoping to not be the only one to point out why JAYWALKING IS ILLEGAL FOR A REASON

Wow, I expected to get ripped a new one for my "insensitivity". This is E719 tho...

Someone said "Just slow down for 30sec". Here, I have a very good feeling many of the people that I described in my 1st post don't really care much if you stop or don't. If you don't, they'll get lightly clipped and sue your ass into the ground. And sometimes I think they just enjoy the opportunity to curse someone out, flip them off and threaten them. Albany's a great city.  ::)
