The only thing that makes a light an e-code is the pattern on the glass, which in turn effects the pattern of the light output. Oliver, do your in-pro's have a smooth finish on the glass? If so, I wouldn't classify them as ecodes neccessarily..
. The other things to look for are the bulb types, and if the lights have city bulb sockets or not. My mkII has authentic e-codes... where as the pattern on the glass projects the light differently than the stock NA lights. It also takes H4's and has the city bulb sockets....
On my last mkII (now owned by Giggidy), it had in-pro cyrstal clear headlights.... no beam projection pattern on the glass, but still took the H4's and had city lights.

Now.... I am pretty sure no matter what kind or brand of light you buy for the inner, they will all have smooth glass, because they are the high beam lights, and dont need projection... unless of course you have the Nothelle setup with quad 7" lights
