so here is the update. After about 45 miles I started getting a noise from the right rear only. I happens when I medium break to hard brake. Sounds like (no laughing) bump bump bump. Metal sounding...... and use the auto craft center, swapped r and l . And guess what, sound goes to the the right now.
not sure im reading this right.....
sound orig was on the drivers side, and then you....you swapped the rotors .... left (drivers side) to the right (passenger)side and visa-versa? and the sound stayed on the passenger side after the swap or did it move to the driver side?

1) your slotted rotors are uni-directional, the pic you posted had the slots going in the correct direction. swap them back.

2) i had a similar situation with my rears on my B5 a4..... when you changed the pads did you have to use force to turn the brake cylinder? did you use a clamp to compress it? if you did either of those then your caliper is messed up and needs to be replaced.

sound was on pass right rear. swapped rotors sound went to driver left rear. Today WED, sound can not  be reproduced as of yet. I used a caliper tool for the rear, not a clamp, because as you know a clamp would trash the caliper. The Zinc story might be true, I will keep you posted.

well I guess Josh's boss was correct. Now having put over 200 miles on top of the original post miles, all is great. Sound gone, vehicle stops. Side not in my research there were alot of post about the loudness of the rotors and pads. I understand this better now. I wouldnt say loud, but hard breaking you can hear the pads and rotors working. not in a bad way. Think of it as BOV or low growl of an exhaust at 2000rpm at 60 mph. you notice, but it doesnt bother you. What i understood from the research was squeaking pads and stuff. I have experienced at this time none of it. we will have to see with more miles. But I will say they are a hell of improvement on my stock stuff. And as of yet I have not felt them fade. as of yet. keep you posted
